June Passive House Social – Vancouver

June 5 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Overview

Project Mint Developments and Nick Bray Architecture are building an exemplar Certified Passive House (near net zero energy) in Vancouver. With Passive House Canada’s partners, this event will showcase the direction that housing in BC will be moving. Come and visit this house, located in a peat bog, and on a small 25′ x 122′ lot!

Following your self-guided tour, you’ll make your way over to Kuzco lighting where you’ll hear from architect and owner, Nick Bray, about some of the unique features and technology in this home. You will then have the chance to mingle with the other attendees, and chat with representatives for some of the products used in this Passive House. Food and drinks will be provided for you as you meet new people and enjoy the beautiful Kuzco Lighting showroom!

Speakers

Nick, an AIBC registered Architect, has been working in practice since 2001 after graduating from the Welsh School of Architecture. He gained a diverse background of international experience prior to moving to Vancouver in 2010. Since moving to Canada, Nick has been lead designer for a number of award-winning buildings whilst working for other practices, and since starting his own Studio, Nick Bray Architecture Ltd. His work specializes in designing highly-sustainable residential and commercial buildings.

Passive House Socials are generously sponsored by SIGA Cover, who develop and produce high-performance products free of toxins that are resistant to aging and provide an airtight seal for buildings of all types. Kuzco Lighting is the venue host for this event.
