Celebrating four years of ZEBx and the first six months of B2E.
In our fourth year of growing capacity, confidence and a community of practice, ZEBx has accomplished a lot! What started as a City of Vancouver initiative in 2018, focused on slashing operational emissions from new buildings, has grown into a province-wide, building decarbonization Centre of Excellence focused on both operational and embodied emissions in both new and existing buildings. If you want to learn more about all that we’ve accomplished, what you told us through our annual survey, how we’ve grown and where we plan on heading, check out our most recent Annual Report. We’ve come a long way since 2018 and we’re grateful for your support right from the start!
The ZEBx team will continue to constantly engage with the leaders (and enthusiastic followers) of the zero-emissions building community. By participating in a growing number of building sector councils, working groups, committees, workshops and dialogues and collaborating with more industry associations, we will bring the zero-emissions perspective to more tables.
This growing engagement and participation gives ZEBx a connection to the building sector like no other organization and allows us to leverage expertise from across the sector to ensure our work is relevant and impactful.
